The Band

Nephwrack was formed in 2001 in Winchester, Hampshire. They recorded three demos – Orwellian Nightmare (2001), Meat and Metal (2002) and Three as One (2003) – before releasing their debut EP Virgin Boeuf (2004), produced by Jason Wilcock at Stakeout Studios in London. A promotional video was made for lead single “Ravenous”, released in 2005.

After substantial touring and lineup changes, the band entered Earth Terminal Studios in Hampshire to record debut album The Once and Future King, produced by Lewis Childs and released in 2007. Following further touring, including a set at Bloodstock Open Air, the band released the Fall of Empires EP (also produced by Lewis Childs at Earth Terminal) in 2008, and began work on material for their second full-length album. Nephwrack eventually disbanded in 2011 and the results of these sessions were not officially released.

In 2016 Nephwrack reconvened at Aubitt Studios, Hampshire, to record material written shortly after the Once and Future King sessions. This resulted in the album Psalms, produced by Joe Lewis-Brown.

Nephwrack then again went on hiatus until 2024 when they began recording the material which was abandoned upon their original disbandment in 2011. This as-yet-untitled album will be released in 2025, preceded by lead single “Ancestor”. Nephwrack continue to perform live, including a forthcoming set in the RIP area of Download 2025.
